Nevada came within sniffing distance of another second-half defensive melt-down, replete with a kickoff nearly returned for a touchdown; but the boys displayed a certain tenacity and poise that not only averted a sore brush with mediocrity (and a profanity-riddled post-game with Coach) but was able to exploit a clearly inferior football team for their own gains (including turning that kickoff return for a touchdown into a long kickoff return for a fumble).
I kinda feel bad for Idaho: I like Robb Akey; they got screwed by alumnus Dennis Erickson; they represent the Palouse (along with Washington State and a few dozen militia); they're the only FBS program in Idaho what ISN'T Boise State. In short, to me, they're the WAC's lovable lugs.
