Nevada vs. Boise State: Final Statistics (or Oh Yeah, Boy...sie)

Yes, Boise, that just happened: your uppance has come.

The Broncos have a good fan base, and some amazing fans who make it up.  However every year I end up surrounded by pompous, arrogant Boise fans who seem personally affronted by my daring to root against their team on Nevada's home turf; I am thrilled that you were finally taken down a peg and excited that it happened here.

  1. Still think Chris Ault should be fired?

  2. Still can't wipe the smile off my face! For now I think Ault deserves a stay of execution. He finally won the "big" game! Just one more monkey to get off his back. Win a freakin bowl game!

  3. A stay of execution? Ault is 64 years old. Ault IS Nevada football and he deserves to retire on his own terms. Do you not remember the Tormey years? The Tisdel years?

We just beat the #4 team in the nation, but are you're suggesting here that if we lose the bowl game, he should still be fired? That WAS our bowl game and FAR more significant than whomever we will play in a bowl game since no chance we go to BCS. By the way, Ault has won a bowl game.

Seriously...give me a list of names of coaches then who can get the Wolf Pack to 11-1, and are willing to do it for less than half a mil a year. Specific names please.

Ault is one of the lowest paid coaches in Division I football. Let's also remember that Nevada has one of the lowest budgets. Really, what the man has done here is incredible.

You don't know how spoiled we are with Coach Ault. I suspect though once he is gone and retired, you'll find out...

  4. Ok. Maybe I was a little harsh, but don't get me wrong Ault and the WolfPack are having a phenominal year and I couldn't be happier about that. It's been a long time coming. All that I am saying is that my memory is still not erased of the past couple of bowl game losses that Nevada was clearly favorites in and should of at least won or made games of them. What ever bowl game Nevada goes to this year they are clearly once again going to be favorites. If for whatever reason Ault and Nevada lose the bowl game it will put a bad taste in my mouth and not to mention several other Nevada fans.

I truly understand what Ault has done for Nevada and I don't want to take that away from him. If anybody needed a memorable season like this it was Ault and Nevada. I just hope it isn't a one time season. He has now set the bar high for future seasons which is a tall order to fill. I wish him and Nevada the best and I hope he can pull out the bowl win.

It's ridiculous the amount of money that he makes as a D-1 coach and it's actually embarrasing. The university clearly doesn't understand what they have for a coach for the pennies they are offering him. In comparison Hawaii's coach is the highest paid state employee in Hawaii. Doesn't make sense.

In summary as stated all that I am trying to say is that Ault and Nevada need a bowl win this year and if they don't it truly will be disappointing and a loss will rest on Ault's shoulders.
